Lasalle-Go | Exchange Program

Olivia Boles '19; Exchange Participant 2017-18

Not only was the exchange a chance to meet new people and improve my French speaking skills, but this immersive experience taught me how and when to step out of my comfort zone and act independently and to thrive in a new environment.

What is Lasalle-GO?

Lasalle-GO is an exchange program in the truest sense of the word. Justin-Siena students are connected with a student at another international Lasallian school for academic, cultural, and language exchange options during the school year and beyond.

Experiential Learning
Students at Justin-Siena are formed to serve and to lead in an ever-changing world, and given the opportunities and the complexities that come with living in and contributing to an increasingly global community, the practical education that comes from learning and living in another country is invaluable. Lasalle-GO, our Lasallian exchange program, provides a unique and experiential learning opportunity that is inherently Lasallian.

Lasallian by Design

As a Lasallian Catholic school, Justin-Siena is part of an international network of schools and ministries—a rich tradition that spans continents, centuries, and cultures. Our global Lasallian communities have been providing Justin-Siena students and faculty and staff with many learning opportunities through programs such as the VENAVER service immersion where our community members have experienced life on an Indian Reservation with the Blackfeet in Montana, serving at the local Lasallian school. Modeling the Lasallian commitment to service, faculty members have traveled to India and Sri Lanka to serve in Lasallian communities through Vandu Paru.

Justin-Siena is now proud to offer yet another program within our Lasallian network—Lasalle-GO.

Enrolling Now for Spring 2019!

Calling all French students! Enjoy an exchange from one international wine region to another and spend a couple months in the Burgundy region of France in Spring 2019. As this is a true exchange, student participants and their families will host a student from Lycée Jeanne d’Arc and then the Justin-Siena student will return to France with their guest and be hosted in their home. The exchange experience in France includes attending classes at Lycée Jeanne d’Arc and then particpating in an internship based on skills and interest.

How to GO:
  • Program is open to junior year French students. In some cases, a student who has had 3+ years speaking French may be able to attend during their sophomore year.
  • Given the exchange nature of the program, there is no cost other than transportation, airfare, and spending money which are up to the individual.
  • 2019 Dates: May 18, 2019 to July 20, 2019 (inquire about a shorter exchange option).
  • Applications are due by Monday, October 15, 2018.
  • Interested students should contact Program Director, Annick Bouldt for an initial interview and then complete an official application.
