Meet the Coach
Coach Corey Battle heads into his 3rd season as head coach of JS basketball. In 2025-26, the team had a successful season highlighted by winning their way to become the VVAL Tournament champions.
Prior to coming to JS, Coach Battle had been an Assistant Coach at Vanden High School. Coach also has had multiple stops coaching at both the high school and college levels including Solano Community College, Mt. Diablo High School, and College Park High School. Corey was also the Varsity Coach at Concord High School for 2 seasons, leading the team to a League Championship in the 2016 season. Previous to his coaching career, Corey played at Los Medanos Community College and Southwest Oregon Community College.
