Basketball All Team Honors

The Braves varsity girls basketball team had three players recognized on the All-VVAL team for the 2019 season. Senior Ashlee Whittemore ’19 was selected 1st-team. Ashlee led the VVAL in scoring average and this was the 3rd straight year she was selected 1st team All-League (the past 2 being in the MCAL).

Freshman Isabella Wright ’22 was selected 2nd team All-League and was the only freshman who made either 1st or 2nd team. Isabella was 2nd on the Braves in scoring. Senior Ella Thatcher ’19 was named Honorable Mention All-League following a stellar senior season where she was one of the top defensive players in the league.

The varsity boys basketball team had two players named to the All-VVAL team for the 2018-19 season. Liam McDevitt ’20 was a unanimous 2nd-team All-League selection. Liam had a big year for the Braves, leading them in scoring and hitting some big shots throughout the year. Barrett Donohoe ’19 capped off a great sports career at Justin-Siena by being named Honorable Mention All-League. Barrett’s leadership and steady play at the point guard position were instrumental in their success this year.
