Not only was it a Justin-Siena course that sparked Peter’s interest, it was a Justin-Siena friendship that turned into a tour guide when visiting. While he was there, Peter met up with former international student and classmate, Kevin Cai, who lives in Tianjin, a major city relatively close to Beijing. Together they visited Tiananmen square) and sampled Chinese food which, according to Peter, was “super interesting and fun.”

In terms of coursework while in China, there were four levels of language classes that accommodated beginners to experienced learners. Peter found the experience very rewarding and accessible. “After I returned home, I could sense that my Chinese has greatly improved, and my enthusiasm to learn doubled. In my opinion, you will not find a better opportunity to learn the language and culture of China than through this program.
