Braves Robotics Host Annual Tournament

On Saturday November 11 the Justin-Siena FTC Robotics teams hosted their 4th annual FIRST Lego League Tournament. Sixteen teams of young, aspiring engineers ages 9-14, coaches, parents, and spectators spent the day on campus.
Justin-Siena students hosted the tournament where 32 two-team Lego robotics faced-off. There were 48 individual team judging sessions, countless practice runs, and lots and lots of fun. This event welcomes approximately 200 people from near and far.

Special thanks to the Justin-Siena Advanced Choir for an amazing a cappella National Anthem for us on Veterans Day: Kevin Palla, Maggie Nugent, Terra Wallin and Jason Celaya. And thanks to all the parent, faculty and staff volunteers who made the day possible.

TacoBots, Team 15821 from Fremont, CA took away the Champion’s award, the highest award at the tournament. TacoBots, together with Teams 30552 HydroSquad and 32834 CHECKMATE, will be advancing from our Tournament to the Regional Championships.

  • FIRST Core Values Award given to 32834 CHECKMATE
  • Robot Performance Award for highest score in the robot game went to 24459 Aqua Droids
