“Justin-Siena is excited about the prospects of the likely new league alignment,” said Justin-Siena Athletic Director George Nessman.
As part of the regular North Coast Section (NCS) four-year realignment cycle new league possibilities are often explored. Last year it became apparent that the Napa Unified Schools, Napa, Vintage and American Canyon were going to apply to join the NCS.
The formal NCS realignment process is ongoing. An important point was reached at the end of August when by a vote of 27-0 the member schools in our region voted to realign the four leagues in our area of the NCS. The membership voted to create a new, yet- -to-be-named league consisting of Justin-Siena, Napa, Vintage, American Canyon, Sonoma Valley, Casa Grande and Petaluma, pending confirmation during an October meeting of the NCS Board of Managers.
