Advanced Placement Exams will begin Monday May 2. For the AP exam schedule please refer to our school calendar. If your son or daughter will be taking an exam, please make sure he or she gets plenty of rest and brings pencils and a snack. AP students are expected to attend their other classes.
Key Dates for the 2016-2017 school year are now posted on the calendar page of the school website. Please consult these dates before making family and vacation plans and be advised that beginning next year, absences will not be allowed during final exams.
Parents, a reminder about the Junior/Senior Prom to be held Saturday, May 14: all tickets must be purchased no later than 3 pm Monday, May 2, from Mrs. Kelley-Weakley. Credit card purchases may be made by calling Ms. Eileen Simmons in the Business Office. Thank you for helping your son or daughter meet this important deadline if he or she wants to attend Prom!
All students in all grades are invited to attend College Counseling’s Spring Out-of-State College Fair taking place Tuesday, May 3 in the Clark Gym during the student life and lunch periods. For a list of colleges in attendance, please see Schoology.
In addition to our on campus mini fair, students should consider attending local college fairs at Sacramento State University, Dominican University of California in San Rafael, or Sonoma State University this week where hundreds of colleges will be available to share information about their programs. Congratulations to the Class of 2016 for making it to National College Commitment and Signing Day! Today is the last day to make a decision on the college seniors will attend in the Fall. The Justin-Siena college counseling staff applauds the members of the Class of 2016 for their discernment efforts and navigating the college admission process.
Our Annual Sports Physical Day will be on Saturday, May 21 from 9 am-12 pm in the Clark Gym. All students that are planning to play a sport in the 2016-2017 school year are encouraged to come and complete their SportsWare and physical. Cost is $20. Student-athletes will need to bring their updated SportsWare History Form and insurance card. Students are required to wear closed toed shoes and athletic clothing. Email athletic trainer Sarah Merkel with any additional questions.
Post-season activity sees both lacrosse teams likely in the MCAL playoffs, which begin Tuesday, location and times to be determined. The swim team participates in the MCAL Championships at Drake on Friday and Saturday.
Varsity golf is hosting the MCAL Championships on Monday at Chardonnay. Tee off is at 12:00.
Softball takes the field v Drake at 430 on Monday as well. Frosh and JBV baseball host Marin Catholic at 430 on Thursday and Drake on Friday. Softball hosts Terra Linda on Friday at 430 to close out the home events.
