Congratulations to the Girls Basketball Team for winning the North Coast Section Division 4 Scholastic Championship for the 2nd year in a row!! The team finished with a cumulative non-weighted GPA of 3.62, putting them in the top 3 for GPA for North Coast Section Division 4.
Today at lunch in the Clark Gym, Friday Night Live will be assembling Easter baskets to give to local children. It is a great opportunity to help our community, and you do not need to be a member of FNL to help. Additionally, FNL is asking for students to bring in candy for the baskets. We can use as much as possible, and the candy can be placed in the LSL office. We hope you can help!
The National Art Honors Society will be selling root beer floats today and tomorrow at lunch in the Breeze Way to help fund our memory project. So come on by and grab yourself some floats before they all float away!

In sports, the Varsity Boys Golf Team’s match at Novato is being rescheduled. The JV Boys Golf Team is to be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. for their match at Wood. The JV Baseball Team is dismissed at 1:45 p.m. for their game at Terra Linda. The Swim Team will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. for their meet at Benicia. The Boys Tennis Team plays at Napa Valley College versus Novato at 4:00 p.m. The Varsity Baseball Team plays Terra Linda at home at 4:30 p.m. And the JV Girls Lacrosse Team plays at home versus Carondelet at 7:00 p.m. this evening. Go Braves!
In support of the Napa Valley Grad Nite Black Light celebration to be held at the Napa College on Thursday, June 9, the Administration has announced a Senior Privilege Day! Seniors may wear neon colors to school on Wednesday! You may wear outfits in the spirit of this event, however, nothing may be worn which is a distraction to the learning process in class.

Calling all high school writers! The 2016 Jessamyn West High School writing contest, through the Napa Valley College, is now accepting submissions. There will be awards for first, second, and third places for fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. Winners will receive one free entry to all public events at the 2016 Napa Valley Writers' Conference in July. See your English teacher or Mrs. Weakley in the Writing Center for applications and details. The deadline for all submissions will be Monday, April 18.
