Hi everyone! The PAWS Club is hosting a meeting in Room 107 during Student Life Time and anyone is welcome. We are still collecting towels and blankets for the animal shelter. Snacks will be provided.
 
Student Ambassadors for the Crab Feed! We will have a brief meeting in the CBC Small Conference Room by the counseling offices from 11:05-11:20 during Student Life Time.  Looking forward to working with you!
 
The Art Studio in Room 214 is open today at lunch for valentine making, in support of National Art Honor Society. We need members to attend to help create inspiring valentine artwork.

In Sports today, the Freshman and JV Boys Basketball Teams are dismissed at 2:15 p.m. today for their game at Drake. In the Clark Gym, the JV Girls play at 4:00, the Varsity Girls at 6:00, and the Varsity Boys at 7:30 p.m. will go up against the visiting Pirates. Go Braves!
 
Members of the Class of 2016 - this is a reminder that there will be a mandatory Senior Class Meeting this afternoon, during Flex, from 1:30 until 2:00, in the Dining Hall, to review the events, activities, and expectations for the remainder of your Senior year. This is a required meeting and attendance will be taken. If you all are prompt and the meeting may begin on time, you'll have more than half of your afternoon Flex time still available to you. 
 
AAANNNNNDDDD, while we have your attention: In honor of this Friday's deadline for reserving your spot on the Disneyland GradNite trip, Administration has declared it to be Senior Disney Day. That's right. Rock your Mickey colors of red, black, white, and yellow, or dress (modestly, of course) as your favorite Disney character this Friday. This day will be for Seniors only, no uniform for you! See Schoology for details.
 
Poetry Out Loud is a national poetry recitation contest sponsored by The National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation who have partnered with U.S. state arts agencies to support a contest that encourages the nation's youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. This program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about their literary heritage. 
 
A total of $50,000 in awards and school stipends is awarded annually at the National Finals. Justin-Siena is excited to have 8 contestants, representing our freshmen, junior, and senior classes, compete tonight in the Gasser Center from 6:30 to 8:00pm.  The first and second place winners will compete in the Napa County contest next month, and that winner will compete for the California Poetry Out Loud state competition and will travel to Washington DC to compete for the National award.All are welcome and encouraged to attend this evening of poetry and spoken word performance! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Kelley-Weakley in Room 108.
 
Class of 2018! Sophomore Retreats begin next week. Please turn in your field trip permission and St. Anthony’s Youth Volunteer Form to the LSL Office by tomorrow. See Schoology to download the forms. Also, if you have any food allergies, please let Mr. Cordero know right away.
