Braves Cheer Teams Shine at Summer Competition
Braves Cheer recently attended the UC Davis UCA summer camp, held July 18-21 where they earned the camp Leadership Award
Along with the bragging rights, the camp Leadership Award came with two coolers full of Gatorade products and a plaque. In addition, the varsity squad came in third place overall (out of dozens of teams), and both varsity and JV brought home the Improvement Awards.
The Braves' teams won Spirit Sticks each day and won the top Spirit award, known as the Top Banana, on day three of camp. Coach Sue Jameson said, "Day three is considered the hardest day of camp, and was also the warmest day - 97 degrees! So, we were especially excited to win that award!"
