Mrs. Jill Sinclair '99, Director of Counseling

“For nearly two decades I have had the privilege of accompanying students throughout their four years of high school. Being a School Counselor at Justin-Siena means truly getting to know my students and their families. We have a holistic approach and support the whole child in everything from academics, to athletics, to their personal lives. Celebrating the joys and successes of my students, while also helping work through the challenges and low moments, makes every day something new and rewarding.”

Our Program

The Justin-Siena counseling program provides comprehensive, developmental counseling to meet the academic, personal, social, and college/career needs of our students. School Counselors work in conjunction with teachers, advisors, parents, and the community to maximize student achievement. All of the Justin-Siena School Counselors hold a current Pupil Personnel School Counseling Credential from the State of California. School Counselors are advocates who support a rigorous learning environment where all students can value learning, appreciate diversity, and demonstrate responsible citizenship.

The School Counseling Program is enhanced by our two full-time College Counselors who work closely with students and families to provide extensive guidance and support through the college exploration, application, and selection process. College Counselors meet with juniors and seniors and their parents, assist in developing college lists, help to organize and compile applications, and advise students about their college choices.

The Student Support Program provides additional assistance to students who have documented learning disabilities. Students in the Student Support Program have an additional support counselor who works closely with them on academic challenges they may face. The Student Support Counselor provides students, parents, faculty, and staff with resources and strategies to facilitate student success.
