Industrious Freshmen Take a Hands-on Approach

Ms. Li’s Mandarin I students Noah Anderson ’19, Justin Eggan ’19, Emily Han ’19, and Lauren Yung ’19 took advantage of an interdisciplinary opportunity as all four are also in the Intro to Engineering course.
In Mandarin, they studied the construction and significance of the Great Wall of China and then in Engineering class, employed engineering concepts using Autodesk to create a model of the Great Wall. They in turn proceeded to print the model in sections using the 3D printer.

These students took much initiative to achieve this and used a lot of free and Flex time to collaborate. Talk about a hands-on approach to learning about engineering and another culture!
