Dances
At all school dances the school rules and dress code guidelines apply. In addition, no glow sticks or other glow type items may be present. The Dean of Students will have a Breathalyzer present at all dances. It may be used if a student is thought to be under the influence of alcohol. See also “Policy for Possession/Use of Chemicals.”
Dance dates are assigned by the Student Council to different classes and clubs at the beginning of the school year. These dances are for Justin-Siena students and their guests, who are expected to observe the same dance regulations as the Justin-Siena students. Once students check in at the dance, they may not leave and expect to return. When students leave the dance, they should plan to leave the campus immediately. Students should not ask permission to go to their cars during the dance. All students must observe the Justin-Siena dress code. Dances run from 8:30–10:30 p.m. (except the prom). Students are to be in the dance by 9 p.m. and may not leave until 10:00 p.m. The gates to the school will be locked at 9:00 p.m. and reopened at 10:00 p.m.. Those planning to arrive later than 9:00 p.m. or leave prior to 10:00 p.m. need to make prior arrangements with the Dean of Students. Guest passes must be given to the Dean of Students 48 hours before the dance. Guest passes will not be accepted for the first dance.
