With the safety and well being of our students always at the forefront, school administration just announced that school will be closed on Monday, August 25, 2014, while we continue to assess damage sustained by the 6.1 magnitude South Napa Earthquake which hit at 3:20 am Sunday morning several miles south of campus. Justin-Siena Lends Voice to National Conversation
Last fall the Justin-Siena Office of Communications was approached by a public radio producer in the East Bay who works on a syndicated show called Making Contact. He had heard about the unveiling of our mascot a couple years ago and our partnership with the local tribe and thought our story was a great one that added a fresh point of view/voice in a much-heated debate over Native American mascots.

Boarding Program Announced for Fall 2014
Justin-Siena High School announced on Friday, February 7, that beginning in the fall of 2014 the school will open a boarding program for high school students. The boarding program will be located in a building on the north side of campus that once was the convent to the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael who founded Siena High School and co-sponsored Justin-Siena until 2006 when the Sisters transferred their sponsorship. Today the school is fully sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, who founded Justin High School.

4th Annual VENAVER Napa Valley Farmworker
The 4th Annual Venaver Napa Valley-Farmworker immersion experience focused on migrant farmworkers occurred on Monday, March 26. Throughout the month of March students attend weekly seminars in preparation for a day of service at the end of the month. Student participants learned about the history and issues of migrant farmworkers in the U.S., California, and specifically the Napa Valley

Annabelle Huffman ’12 has been named a California Arts Scholar by Gov. Jerry Brown. Huffman, a senior at Justin Siena High School, received a medal for the honor after attending the California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA).

Two Students Represented JS at Lasallian Youth Assembly
This summer two Justin-Siena students, Calvin Sanders and Michael Deely joined eighty other Lasallian high school students from across the West coast in Portland, OR for a week of service, faith, and community.
LSL Students Inspired for New Year
Twelve students from Justin-Siena participated this summer in the Lasallian Student Leaders conference at Saint Mary’s College. The week-long conference brought together more than 150 Lasallian high school students for a week of learning and honing leadership skills, as well as community building.

New Concert Band Heads Off To State Festival
Justin-Siena High School’s new Concert Band will join bands from all around the state participating in the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) Band Festival on Friday, April 18 at Benicia Middle School in Benicia. This marks the first time a Concert Band from Justin-Siena has ever participated in a band festival.
