Blessing of the 100 Wing
While the renovated wing was ready for the first day of class on August 18, the space was blessed at a special ceremony by Bishop Vasa immediately following Mass of the Holy Spirit marking the start of our 50th Anniversary Year.
The Holy Spirit was felt among the guests gathered, which included a number of Christian Brothers and Dominican Sisters, alumni, parents, Trustees (past and present), and friends. An influential figure in the school's history, Mr. Bob Zeller, was among the guests and enjoyed seeing such growth and innovation.
Just as innovation and technology drove the design of these reconfigured spaces, which netted an additional classroom and brought highly anticipated air conditioning, the commitment and vision of so many over these 50 years brought us to this great place today.
The Bishop's Blessing:
Let us ask God to bless us and our newly renovated classrooms.
All praise to you, Heavenly Father, Lord of all creation: You have gathered us here to praise You by our words and works. Bless these classrooms which we have built for the education of our young people.
Bless our students, alumni, teachers, parents, board members, and benefactors, and all who promote sound education in our community.
May our youth grow in wisdom, age, and grace before You and all Your people. May this school always be a home of truth and wisdom, of faith and good will toward all.
Through the prayers of St. John Baptist de La Salle and St. Catherine of Siena, may this school help our community and build your kingdom of justice, light, and peace.
